I had the pleasure of celebrating a long-time/forever family friend, Wally's, 60th birthday this past weekend. Growing up, the Shea's' house was basically an extension of my own home. My family has always lived next door to the Shea family, our parents built our houses on next door lots around the same time. Meg and I spent our entire childhoods playing together and we have hours of video footage capturing memories spent celebrating birthdays, holidays and vacations together. They were always the best memories growing up and this weekend's party was no exception.
Wally is one of my favorite people in the world. He has such a friendly and positive disposition and is just such a nice guy. Wally's has a mustache for most of his life and its definitely his trademark, so it was only fitting that was the theme of the party. And oh was it the theme. Wally's daughter, Meg, and wife, Pam, blew everyone away with this party. This was no typical backyard fete, they thought of every little detail to make this party such a special celebration. Meg and Pam should seriously consider going into the party planning business - I still can't get over how amazing everything was.
