Monday Musings

This past weekend was filled to the brim with things that I love.

Starting with a delicious al fresco dinner at East Bay Grille with great friends to celebrate Amelia's birthday on Friday.

Saturday morning was spent with my two of my favorite ladies, my mom and my aunt.  They are both avid walkers and they get together every Saturday for a long walk and lunch. It's such a nice Saturday tradition and I love to join them whenever I can. At least once every time, all three of us end up laughing so hard we cry.

Saturday evening, Amelia's birthday celebration continued with a cookout at the Glynn residence. There was so much delicious food and it was so much fun hanging out with friends -- Amelia and Billy really know how to throw a bash.

I  felt a little guilty taking so long to get outside Sunday, because it was such a beautiful day. Dexter and I lounged on the couch for the better half of the afternoon-- I may have been out too late Saturday night and also, I'm absolutely hooked on The Newsroom. It's so incredibly good and I can't stop watching it. So far I've cried every episode (whether it has made sense or not) and I feel smarter just by watching it. Also, I'm a very complex woman since my other new TV addiction is The Vineyard.

When Luke forced me to stop watching The Newsroom (thank you!), we went outside to enjoy Sunday with a walk...

...and a couple of beers and hot dogs at Pillory Pub in downtown Plymouth. It's such a great spot-- they have rocking chairs in front of huge, open-air windows where it's so much fun to sit and people watch.

Later that night, we saw the most beautiful rainbow over Rocky Nook (where we live). We were coming back from across the bay getting Dom's steak tips from Foodie's in Duxbury - so delish.

The weekend came to an end with my sister-in-law, Sydney, over for dinner and, of course, sneaking in a few more episodes of The Newsroom.

And, finally, some words of wisdom to kick off the week...
